Shillong: On Wednesday, authorities announced that Lt Gen K C Panchanathan, the general officer commanding of the 101 Area here, had passed away after a heart attack. At 57, Panchanathan.
Lt Gen Pachanathan passed away at about 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, according to Army sources. He was taken to the North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health & Medical Sciences.
Conrad K. Sangma, the chief minister, expressed sympathy for the defence officer’s passing.
