Gisele Bündchen is aiming for a brand-new stage of life. The NFL great Tom Brady and his wife have reportedly been having marital problems, but the 42-year-old model is opening up about her home life as a wife and mother while also considering what the future may hold for her own profession.
In a brand-new cover story interview for Elle’s October 2022 issue, she states, “I’ve done my part, which is [to] be there for [Tom].” “I moved to Boston and focused on creating a cocoon and loving environment for my children to grow up in and to be there supporting him and his dreams. At this point in my life, I feel like I’ve done a good job on that. Seeing my children succeed and become the beautiful little humans that they are, seeing him succeed and being fulfilled in his career—it makes me happy.”
When they first met, Brady was the quarterback for the New England Patriots. Since then, the 45-year-old sportsman has switched teams and is now with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This year, Brady famously proclaimed his retirement before quickly un-retiring two months later.
Bündchen tells Elle that she intends to create more room for her own aspirations in the future. She explains, “I have a long list of things I need to accomplish and want to do. I feel more in tune with my purpose now that I’m 42.

She also addresses what she sees as a media sexist cliche, where she is frequently painted as being yearning for her husband to retire.
She claims that this is the system we have been using because it is what society has accepted and not accepted.
I have concerns, of course. This is a very brutal sport, and I have kids, so I would like him to be here more,” she continues. He needs to follow his joy, too. “I have obviously had those conversations with him over and over again, but ultimately I feel that everybody has to make a decision that works for [them].
Brady and Bündchen got married in 2009. Ben, 12, and Vivian, 9, are the couple’s only children; Bündchen is also the stepmother of Brady’s ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan’s 14-year-old son Jack. According to Bündchen, she doesn’t regret her decision to temporarily put her family before her work.
She said of the formative years of her children, “I’m so grateful to have been there in those in rivers, and we have to think about what we’re doing, how moments that were truly creating who they are as people.
She says, “I feel really fulfilled in that way as a wife and mother. It’s not like I’m going to stay in the valley forever, so now it’s going to be my turn.

On a recent session, the model even claims to have introduced daughter Vivian to the world of high fashion.
She was confused when she saw me with so many various hairstyles and cosmetic looks, laughs Bündchen. “Mommy, you look so much better without all that! Why are they touching you? Can they stop?” she exclaimed.
Her reaction? “Hear, this is fashionable!”
