In the wake of Rajput’s passing on June 14, 2020, the NCB launched its investigation into potential drug usage in the film and television business.
Bollywood star Sushant Singh Rajput’s passing rocked the whole industry, but his family and fans still can’t get over the tragedy. The actor passed away in June 2020 at the age of 34. Since then, his family has been trying to piece together what caused his untimely demise. Although the actor’s death was first reported as a suicide, his fans and family feel that there was foul play.

Years after his terrible death, Sushant’s sister Meetu Singh used Twitter to broadcast a video of the actor that YouTube user PewDePie had initially uploaded. The actor can be heard discussing life and what happiness means to him in the video. She criticised Bollywood in a long post she made after sharing the video.
“Everyone acknowledges Sushant’s brilliance, but it is tragic that Bollywood, his own industry, has not recognised his profound grasp of life and its workings. I’m really appreciative to Swedish YouTuber pewdiepie (Felix) for creating this touching memorial for my one and only Prince (SSR),” she stated. “It is so fulfilling to watch my brother being loved and adored. Because of envy and insecurity, Bollywood murdered Sushant, and today Sushant resides in every home. Every family fights for Sushant as if he were their own.”
Meanwhile, the Narcotics Control Bureau said in July that actress Rhea Chakraborty got repeated deliveries of ganja from the co-accused, including her brother Showik, and that they were sent to Rajput in the narcotics case connected to actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s murder.
Chakraborty was detained in connection with the case in September 2020, and the Bombay High Court granted him bail a month later. Along with Rhea, Showik Chakraborty, another person, and a few others were also charged as defendants in the case; the most of them are presently free on bail.
